Memorial Day Celebration
Mark your calendars and save the date of Saturday, May 26th for Oakley’s First Annual Memorial Day Celebration! Help us remember those who served by joining us at the Civic Center Park located at 3231 Main Street at 10:30am. The program will include the Presentation of Colors, performance from the Freedom High School Choir, a Memorial Day Address by Oakley’s own Purple Heart Veteran, the Presentation of a wreath by a Gold Star Mom, 3 Volley Salute, taps & more! Be sure to bring with you any worn flags that are now due for retirement, as the Boy Scouts will be accepting them and hosting a retirement ceremony at a later date. All Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are invited to wear their uniforms and help lead the Pledge of Allegiance.”
