Free Composting Workshop
Friday, June 8, 2012
The City of Oakley is hosting a free backyard composting workshop. Composting your yard trimmings and food scraps is easy, great for your yard and garden, kind to our environment and good for you too! Save money, save water, and conserve natural resources. The workshop will be held on Thursday June 28, 2012 in the City Hall Council Chamber from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
At the workshop, the City will be selling Oakley residents high-quality compost bins. The new, high-quality SoilSaver compost bins will be sold for $49 (these normally retail for over $100). If you are unable to attend this workshop, but just can’t wait to start composting, you may purchase a compost bin at City Hall for $70.00. You must attend the workshop to receive the lowest price on the bin.
For more information on the Composting Workshop or if you have any questions please contact Joshua McMurray, Senior Planner with the City of Oakley Planning Department, at (925) 625-7004 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
