Oakley City Council Seeks Applications for Fire Board

The City of Oakley is seeking applications from Oakley residents who would like to serve as the City’s representatives on the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Board.  Two seats are available for appointment to assume office this fall and one other seat in the spring.

Applications are available on the City’s website by clicking here at City Hall, or may be requested via email at marquez@ci.oakley.ca.us. Completed applications must be submitted prior to 5:00p.m. on August 24, 2012. The applications will be reviewed and finalists will be interviewed by the City Council. It is anticipated that appointments will be made in September, so that the new Board Members can assume office on October 1, 2012

The ECCFPD Board currently meets the first Monday of every month in the evening. There is no compensation provided for Board Members.

The term of the current appointee to the Contra Costa County Library Commission will expire June 30, 2013. The City of Oakley is accepting applications for an appointee until Monday, June 17, 2013 at 5 p.m. Applications will be considered by the Oakley City Council on June 25, 2013 at its regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall located at 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California in which applicants are encouraged to attend.
