Annual Harvest Festival

The City of Oakley Recreation Division will host the Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 20th from Noon to 4pm.
Bring a pre-carved or decorated pumpkin to enter in the pumpkin decorating contest. Satisfy your sweet tooth and win a prize by entering the "pie eating contest" for kids and adults! All ages are encouraged to join in the costume parade through the park- all participants will receive a goodie bag at the end of the parade.
There will be face painting, games, arts & crafts and a giant slide. The "Step 2 This" and "East County Performing Arts" dancers will perform throughout the day.
A variety of vendors will be on hand to sell their wares and share their message.

City of Oakley Seeks Applications for Contra Costa County Library Commission

The term of the current appointee to the Contra Costa County Library Commission will expire June 30, 2013. The City of Oakley is accepting applications for an appointee until Monday, June 17, 2013 at 5 p.m. Applications will be considered by the Oakley City Council on June 25, 2013 at its regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall located at 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California in which applicants are encouraged to attend.
