The City of Oakley invites sealed bids for the purchase of real property located at 1420-1480 Neroly Road in Oakley, Contra Costa County, California (APN 034-040-017-5) adjacent to the Diamond Hills Sports Club. The property includes 2.36 acres and is designated for commercial use. Bids may be for all or part of the parcel.
The bid packet that includes the vicinity map and other relevant information is available at Oakley City Hall, 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California or by email request at fritzler@ci.oakley.ca.us.
Bids must be received at 3231 Main Street, Oakley, CA 94561 no later the 2:00 pm on May 21, 2013, at which time the City Clerk will publicly open them.
The City of Oakley, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

A public notice is posted in the legal section of the local newspaper.

Builder's exchanges are notified of the project.

Plans and specifications are made available for purchase at the City of Oakley Public Works and Engineering Division or the department managing the project. (Non-refundable fees are based on document production costs.) A set of plans and specifications is sent at a builder's request.

The bid opening date is determined.

A Plan-holder's list can be viewed at the Community Development Department counter, at the builder's exchanges, or contact the Public Works/Engineering Division at 925-625-7037 for a copy.

Once the bidding opens, results are faxed to the builder's exchanges and are also available by telephone.

The apparent low bid is verified.

City staff forwards the project to the City Council for approval/disapproval.

City Council authorizes/denies contract for the work.
