Jason Vogan |
CITY ENGINEER'S BIOGRAPHY
Jason Vogan has been with the City since incorporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Sacramento and a Master’s of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College. Jason is a licensed Civil Engineer in California and has over fifteen years of professional experience in both the public and private sector. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his twin boys.
DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Public Works & Engineering Department include:
- Maintaining the City's street, drainage, parks and landscaping infrastructure
- Administering design and construction management for most capital improvement projects
- Implementing the City's Clean Water Program to ensure compliance with current State and Federal requirements
- Reviewing and inspecting private development grading and infrastructure improvements for compliance with City standards
- Overseeing five functional units: Development Engineering, Capital Improvement Program Management, Traffic Engineering, Clean Water Program Management, and Maintenance Services
GOAL
To ensure that the City's infrastructure is safe and available for the public, maintained in a proactive and cost effective manner, and that all new investments into the infrastructure are strategically implemented to meet the City's needs and standards. The Department also aims to increase response time to customers and projects.
