The City of Oakley has several options available to families, seniors and disabled persons that are looking for housing at an affordable level.

At this time, the City of Oakley does not own any of the housing options you will see on this website, although the City of Oakley does monitor the units and has provided funding for several of the sites.

Myths & Facts About Affordable & High Density Housing

How do I know if I qualify?

Each County is issued a Maximum Income Levels table every year by the State of California. This table tells us the maximum income levels in five categories. Each project, when it applied for various sources of funding, established the amount of units of moderate income, low income, very low income, or extremely low income. The State also calculates the median income level for the County. The median indicates the point at which half of the residents in the county earn more and half earn less that the established number. The chart below will help you determine the category for which you may be eligible:

Summer Creek Place, 4950 Empire Avenue, Oakley, (925) 625-1704

This lovely senior complex was built in 2000 by Pacific Communities and includes 80 units of independent living.  The site includes a clubhouse, pool, barbeque, car wash station, computer room, fitness room and is managed by Infinity Management Team.  55 years or older.

Golden Oak Manor, 5000 Kelsey Lane, Oakley, (925) 625-5223
Nestled in a residential neighborhood, Golden Oak Manor contains 50 one-bedroom units available to seniors for independent living.  The site was built in 1996 and is owned and operated by EAH. Link

Just completed in 2006, this brand new 96 unit apartment complex is available for families in the low and very low income categories.  The site, located at the corner of Cypress Ave and Rubens Way, is owned by Pacific Communities and managed by WNC. Link

Silver Oak Apartments was constructed in 1999 and provides 19 affordable one bedroom and 4 two bedroom units for low and very-low disabled tenants.  This site is owned and operated by EAH. Link
