The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District Board is dedicated to preserving the health and welfare of residents by reducing the risk of diseases spread by insects and animals and offers services to the public to control insects and animals in a responsible, environmentally‐conscious manner.
The term of the current trustee to the Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District Board will expire May 6, 2022. The City of Oakley is accepting applications for a trustee to the Board until Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12 p.m.
An applicant must be a Contra Costa County taxpayer and at least the voting age of 18 with an interest in any of the following areas: public health, public policy, wetlands, farming, community education, finance, personnel or land development. The member of the Board appointed by the City shall be an elector and resident of the City of Oakley.
Meetings are typically held the second Monday evening of every other month at the District office, 155 Mason Circle, Concord, California; however, currently meetings are being conducted remotely on Zoom. Trustees may also serve on committees which meet approximately twice a month or as needed.
Trustees may be appointed for terms of two years or four years. If appointed to serve a first term, the trustee may serve for two years and may serve additional terms of two years or four years. Trustees serve without compensation but are allowed limited expenses for actual travel in connection with meetings or business of the Board.

Please type or print clearly on this application and return it to the City Clerk’s Office prior to 12 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022. It is anticipated that an appointment will be considered by the Oakley City Council April 26, 2022 during the City Council meeting scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Oakley City Council Chamber located at 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California. All applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting to be interviewed.
