Construction Update- August 17, 2017

Downtown Final Paving Operations

Main Street will be closed on Wednesday night- August 23rd, Thursday night- August 24th, and Friday night- August 25th from 8 PM to 5 AM between Norcross Lane to 5th Street in order for the contractor to pave the street in this section of downtown.

This work is being performed at night to minimize traffic  impacts to the public. Pedestrian access will be provided to all properties along the project route during this work.

Main Street in the Eastbound direction will be closed from 3631 Main Street to 5th Street on Sunday morning- August 27th from 6 AM to 1 PM for placement of Slurry Seal. Main Street Westbound traffic will flow normal and is not impacted by the Slurry Seal operations.

Main Street will be closed on Monday night- August 28th, Tuesday night- August 29th, Wednesday night-  August 30th, and Thursday night-  August 31st from 9 PM to 5 AM between Norcross Lane to 5th Street for the contractor to raise all the utilities manholes and valves to grade.

Detours will be set up during these night operations to facilitate traffic flows. Notification flyers have been distributed to all properties along this section of downtown to inform them of the paving related operations.
