Join us for the 18th Annual Oakley Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday, August 13th at the Antioch/Oakley pier off of Bridgehead Road. This “catch and release” derby is for children up to age 15 and registration is FREE. Pre-registration is available online at https://secure.rec1.com/CA/oakley-ca/catalog. Participants may also register the day of the event at the pier.
Registration and check-in are from 8am – 9am with the Derby running from 9 – 11am.
Participants should plan to bring their own fishing poles. Snacks will be served after the derby concludes.
Awards will be given for the following age categories: Ages 2 – 5, Ages 6 – 10 and Ages 11 – 15.
This is a great chance to get your kids started in the great sport of fishing!
