Register a Neighborhood Security Camera

The Oakley Police Department would like you to join us in a partnership to make our community more secure.  Many residents and businesses have taken extra security measures to monitor their respective property by installing security cameras.  Security camera video footage is often a valuable tool when investigating criminal activity.   Video footage can capture images of crimes in progress, people involved in suspicious activity, provide detailed suspect vehicle information, and can sometimes help track the direction of travel of a criminal entering or leaving a neighborhood.  With your support and permission, Oakley Police personnel would view your security video footage when we believe your camera may have recorded events that could aid in an investigation.  The Neighborhood Security Camera Registration Program will provide us with a volunteer database of video resources we can quickly turn to when searching for investigative clues.

The Neighborhood Security Camera Registration Program is completely voluntary.  It is an effort to use our joint resources to help fight crime and increase the likelihood of developing investigative clues leading to the identification of criminals responsible for violating the security of the community.
