Shape the Next Strategic Plan from the Comfort of your Home through Engage in Oakley!

It’s time to develop the City of Oakley’s 2018-2020 Strategic Plan and you can help! This important document dictates the direction and priorities of the City for the following two-year period.

We are asking every resident to take the time to visit Engage in Oakley, the City’s online engagement platform and participate in two prompts. One prompt will ask you to rank the ten Areas of Focus. Relay the importance each has to you in this two minute exercise. For example is Public Safety more or less important to you than Planned Quality Growth? How would you rate Business and Job Growth relative to the aforementioned?

Next, read the goals for each Area of Focus and offer feedback. Recommendations from the public offered two years ago led to the City Council adopting language changes. You may have an idea we haven’t yet thought of.

The next most important step in developing this plan will be our Community Wide Strategic Planning Meeting. Please save the date to join us in person to offer action items for each of the areas you would have just reviewed through Engage in Oakley! The meeting will be Tuesday, April 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Freedom High School multi-purpose room.

Thank you for caring and for participating!!
