Josh McMurray became a member of the City of Oakley in 2008. He holds a B.A. in Public Administration with an emphasis in City Planning and M.A. in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Josh is a member of the American Planning Association. Josh serves as the City’s primary contact for Housing related items and he is also the City’s AB 939 Program Manager, dealing with solid waste diversion and recycling programs.
Ken Strelo became an integral member of the City of Oakley in August of 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Humboldt State University in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation with an emphasis in Planning, and has served the public as a professional planner in East Contra Costa County since 1998 (previously in the City of Pittsburg). Ken is also an active member of the American Planning Association. He has been project lead on several critical advanced and current planning projects for the City of Oakley, such as the East Cypress Corridor Specific Plan, River Oaks Crossing Specific Plan, Oakley Downtown Specific Plan, and residential subdivisions such as Emerson Ranch, Gilbert Ranch, and Summer Lake, as well as several policy related code amendments. Ken also serves as the City’s leader for Strategic Energy Planning, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas reduction programs, as well as the future Climate Action Plan, through collaboration with PG&E, East Bay Energy Watch and the Contra Costa County Climate Leaders.
