Science Week

Movies in the Plaza
Enjoy a fun evening at the movies with the Recreation Division hosts the Annual Movies in the Plaza Series, with one movie a month from May to October. Movies will be announced by April, visit the community calendar to see our full monthly calendar including Movies in the Plaza.

Oakley Summer Fest
Oakley Summer Fest will replace the Cityhood Celebration. It will be held on Saturday, July 2nd in downtown on Main Street between Vintage Parkway and Norcross Lane. This event will feature a fun run, vendors, live music and more and will conclude at 5pm.
Fishing Derby
The Oakley Kids Fishing Derby provides a day of fun catch and release fishing. Bring your pole, bait will be provided, your whole family is welcome to come and enjoy the day.
Heart of Oakley Festival
Each year we close Main Street for the Heart of Oakley Festival featuring wine, micro-brews, food vendors, entertainment and children’s activities.
Oaktober Festival
Enjoy the Oaktober Festival with a costume parade, pie eating contest and more.
Hometown Decorating Contests
Compete with your neighbors to have the best decorated house. Homes are voted on by the public and one winner is selected. Contests are held for Halloween and Christmas.
Christmas Tree Lighting
Join in the holiday spirit and help Santa light the Christmas Tree, this event provides an opportunity for you to come downtown and enjoy all it has to offer.
Breakfast with Santa
A continental breakfast is served, with children’s crafts and your chance to take a picture with Santa.
Taste of Oakley
Come sample food from various Oakley restaurants, and catering services.
