Write-in Candidates (District 5 only)
The write-in filing period is September 9 – October 22, 2024 for District 5 only.
Write-in candidates must qualify for the election.
Write-in candidates must file the same forms required of other candidates who have filed during the regular filing period. The candidate statement form or ballot designation form does not apply to write-in candidates and write-in candidates may not submit a candidate statement.
Only votes cast for qualified write-in candidates are reported. Write-in candidates should contact the City Clerk’s office at 925.625.7000 as early as possible to schedule an appointment to obtain and file nomination papers prior to the filing deadline.
