The Leadership Academy is a free, interactive civic education program for Oakley residents interested in learning about City operations. The Academy will provide a look into the workings of Oakley with the goal of developing civic leaders and building a stronger community through well-informed and engaged residents.
Participants meet for five evening sessions (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) from April 10th through May 8th covering various aspects of City operations. Class size is limited to 25 participants. To participate, you must be an Oakley resident aged 16 and over and able to commit to attending all five Academy sessions.
Certificates will be awarded at the May 14th City Council meeting; attendance at the awards ceremony is strongly encouraged, but is optional. Registration has closed for the 2024 Academy.
